Front garden bed redesign
An overgrown corner turned into a designed entry bed

Drag the handle, or use the arrow keys, to compare.
The problem
What we walked into
Shrubs had swallowed the porch, weeds ran through the old stone border and the bed had no shape. The lawn around it was thin and uneven.
The approach
What we did
- 01
Cleared and reshaped the bed with a stone edge
- 02
Layered planting: feature tree, evergreens, hostas, astilbe and hydrangea
- 03
Boulder accents and dark mulch
- 04
Low-voltage accent lighting
- 05
Lawn repaired and fed around the new bed
The result
Where it landed
A clean, layered bed that frames the porch, looks finished at night and takes minutes to maintain.
