Fall is when next year's lawn is decided. We aerate and overseed while the soil is still warm, clear the leaves before they smother the turf, and close the property down properly so spring starts clean.

The August 15 to October 1 window is the best time of year to thicken a lawn. Plugs pulled, seed down, roots built before winter.
Dethatching
Strips out the dead layer so water and seed reach the soil.
Final cut and winterizing feed
A last cut at the right height and a fall fertilizer so the lawn holds colour into winter and greens up fast.
Gutter clean-out
Leaves and debris cleared so meltwater has somewhere to go.
Hedge trimming and bed cleanup
Perennials cut back, annuals pulled, beds edged and mulched for winter.

We come back as the leaves come down, usually two or three visits depending on your trees.

When should fall aeration happen?
Between August 15 and October 1. After that the soil cools and seed will not establish before winter.
How many leaf visits do I get?
As many as your trees need. Most properties take two or three passes. We quote it as a package, not per visit, so there are no surprises.
Can you do my gutters at the same time?
Yes. Gutter clean-out is part of the fall package and is best done after the last leaves fall.
